Joseph m. Roeder DDS

Dr. Joseph Roeder grew up in Grinnell, IA, and graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2013. After meeting his wife, Brittany, in dental school they moved to Fairbanks, AK. While there, they worked as dentists for Tanana Chief’s Conference serving 42 villages with limited access to dental care in Interior Alaska. They had their first child in November 2016 and in August of 2017, relocated to Fort Collins to be closer to family. Dr. Roeder joined Thomas J. Brewer DDS as an associate in 2017, and upon becoming a partner and owner of the practice, changed the name to ‘Greyrock Family Dentistry’, paying homage to his favorite hike in the area.

My Approach

Risks, Benefits, and alternatives

I feel very fortunate to have received my dental education from an established and respected institution such as The University of Iowa, and to have gained working experience in a wonderful public health environment such as The Tanana Chiefs Conference in Fairbanks , Alaska.

My education and work experience has not only honed my skills as a clinician but also has given me a unique perspective on treatment planning. “Risks, Benefits, and Alternatives” is a phrase that has become synonymous with my approach to dentistry. I have come to enjoy talking through all of the treatment options with each individual, and what may be unique to my approach is that I truly will consider all of the options. As long as you (the patient) are fully aware of the “Risks, Benefits, and Alternatives” of each option, I am happy to pursue whichever option suits you best. I will do my best to use my knowledge and expertise to guide you to the option that I think will have the best outcome, or what I would do in your situation - but that does not always coincide with what suits you. There are many individual preferences or circumstances that may influence a decision and the “best” option may not always be the right option for you. I am happy to have these discussions with you and to get creative with the right solution for you.
